Southampton Racquet Club and Camp

So I just realised that i've talked about working in a summer camp in The Hamptons but have not actually really talked about the camp itself, so i've added just a few photos from working at Southampton Racquet Club & Camp

My experience at camp was unbelievable, I loved every minute of it. The camp itself was just so cute and picturesque, it was everything I had imagined it to be like, equipped with little wooden cabins (just like the Parent Trap). Summer 2013 was the first year that SRCC had opened so I was super excited to be a part of it's first summer.

The activities at camp were pretty awesome, for it being the first summer I didn't expect to have such a full day schedule. We had everything from soccer to basketball, swimming to dance, arts & crafts to gaga, food art to music and of course tennis. We also had special days for the kids including magic shows, wacky water day, a carnival, a mad science event and various musical related fun. We had lots of dress up days too like Halloween day, crazy socks & hair, PJ day and pirate day.

The kids were fantastic, the ages ranged from 2 and a half up to 10 years old. I have experience with working with all ages of children but I was glad I got the older girls group who were 7-10. I had some amazing girls in my group who I will never forget because they were just so sweet and a lot of fun to be around.

The counsellors were also so much fun and I can happily say that I definitely made some very good friends for life.
