Healthy Juice Ideas
*Although I would love to be able to have the time & money to make my meals from scratch, sadly with a full time job that is simply just not the case*
*I also try to buy organic products, again this sometimes is just not that easy so I make do with what I can get or already have*
Every morning I try to make a healthy juice to have with breakfast or that I take to work with me and have for the day. I've never been a massive fan of just drinking water but I've really cut down on drinking fizzy drinks or anything with added sugars and flavourings etc.
My first juice is a green one. I add a handful of baby spinach leaves, kale, a whole kiwi and green apple. A teaspoon of baobab powder, barleygrass & wheatgrass powder and water.
Another green juice I add half a cucumber, kiwi, pineapple, coconut chunks and a teaspoon of chlorella & spirulina powder and coconut water.
This one is quite tropical; roughly 5 chunks each of frozen pineapple and mango, a splash of organic orange juice or Tropicana ruby breakfast juice and a tablespoon of camu camu powder.
The only fruit I don't particularly love is banana; the taste, the texture and even the smell just does not sit well with me but I am trying to incorporate them into a juice. So I add half a banana, about 6 strawberries, coconut water, a teaspoon of lucuma powder and overnight soaked chia seeds.
This berry juice is so simple to make as the fruits used come together in a frozen packet. It is a mixture of raspberries, blackberries, black & red currants and then I add a table spoon of acai powder and water.
My next juice that I make I just add a whole pear, peach and plum with about 6 melon chunks added in too, a teaspoon of astragalus powder then just some water.
The last one is so delicious and maybe my favourite; I add a handful of frozen cherries, a passion fruit, pomegranate seeds, some goji berries and moringa powder.
Any of these recipes can be tweaked to your own taste, you can add in whatever you like or simply just remove certain fruits if they are not to your liking. This was just to give you an idea of what things I use in my juices and sometimes I'll even mix them up depending on what's in my fruit bowl or freezer at the time. If you have any great juice ideas then please share them, I'd love to give some a try.
