Cuckoo with Sharl

So I just recently became single and yes I am gutted and devastated but life is too short to be sad and heartbroken. My friends have been AMAZING through it all and have really helped me try to move on and get my life back. I usually just mope around and don't want to go out after a break-up but I have been trying to change my attitude and outlook on things. What is the point in sitting in the house by yourself (probably with your two favourite men, Ben & Jerry.)? You just get upset and sad and cry and just NO!!! Don't get me wrong, I do not want to be single at all, I was happy in my relationship, my boyfriend just wasn't and that's ok. Maybe i'll do an a break-up post to talk about things in more detail....


Anyways, so my first night out since i've been single was with my best friend Sharl. She rang me and told me she didn't want me sitting in on the weekend by myself, she's such a cutie. So she came over and the plan was to just sit in and have a few drinks. But with us, that plan never actually sticks. We always end up listening to music and somehow getting ourselves in the mood to go out. So that's what we did. It was pretty late by this stage so we knew we wouldn't get into a nightclub. There is a bar quite near me called Cuckoo which is one of the coolest bars in Belfast. Check it out, it's decor is just so crazy and unique.

We ended up having an amazing night and I am really glad we decided to go out in the end. I was very nervous and didn't really enjoy myself at first but Sharl is just amazing and can always cheer me up. They do yummy cocktails and they also have ping pong and air hockey tables. It is a bar with lots of different levels and there is a dance floor on one level so it was fun to just have a wee dance. 

I think i'm going to do more posts about nights out because crazy things always happen and it's funny to document it.
