Organic Foods
So Northern Ireland sucks for not having a Whole Foods store, there are like 6 in London, sort it out N.I. I was obsessed with it while I was in America last summer, I literally preferred going shopping in Whole Foods than I did for clothes, loser yes I know. Everything was just so fresh and natural, they offered so many healthy alternative snacks and meal ideas.
Since I have been home, I always try to buy organic produce esp when it comes to meat. I don't eat red meat very often so I usually opt for chicken, I honestly will not buy it unless it is organic, same with eggs. I hate the thought of them being cooped up and not able to roam around on some grass or on a farm. It makes me so sad to think about animals being mistreated. And yes I know I eat meat but I am hugely against fur and the whole issue with capturing animals from their natural habit to sit in a cage or a tank just for our assessment. (I'll do another post about this in more detail.)
When it comes to veggies I also like to go organic, this means that they have not been sprayed by harmful chemicals and usually come from a smaller farm rather than a big industrial one. Yes organic fruit and veg usually look quite strange and may not be as big or colourful as non-organic produce but that's because they are grown naturally, they look the way they are supposed to.

If you are trying to eat healthier and change your diet then try and convert to organic. It may be more expensive than standard but the benefits are worth it. Supermarkets also offer lots of fat-free things but they seem to have a lot more sugar etc in them. Always check the labels and read the nutrition facts on the product.
This video shows exactly why I always eat organic meat & diary products. Please watch and sign the pledge, all it asks for is your name and e-mail address, taking only 30 seconds of you time.

I love Whole Foods! Although there are a few in London, there aren't any near where I live so whenever I pass one, I always pop in. Great post.
